Rutgers Army ROTC GO-RUCK

On March 23, 2024, Chapter XIX met the Rutgers University Army ROTC’s Ranger Challenge Club, at the end of their GO RUCK Challenge in NYC. The GO RUCK event, which was a 15 mile ruck throughout Manhattan, with physically enduring exercise stops along the way, was conducted on a cold, rainy day, terminating at the America’s Response Monument, Horse Soldier, on the 9/11 site.

Chapter members met the cadets and cadre with pizza, Gatorade, and coordinated with an amazing speaker, Retired FBI Agent Wesley Wong, who was the FBI Agent who was the FBI’s on scene commander on 9/11/2001. Chapter XIX also coordinated with the New Jersey State Police to transport the cadets back to New Jersey via one of their patrol boats. The cadets were also presented the flag which flew over the Horse Soldier on a plaque at the AUSA Leadership Dinner the following month.
