251st Army Birthday

The U.S. Army is the oldest branch of the United States Armed Forces, established by a resolution of the Continental Congress on June 14, 1775, to create a unified fighting force among the 13 colonies. George Washington was appointed commander-in-chief the following day. The Army predates the nation itself and has played a central role in defending American independence, freedom, and national values throughout its history. On June 12th, 2026 AUSA Northern NJ Chapter held America’s 250th Birthday Gala.

This was a black tie/formal event to celebrate America’s 250th at the Liberty State Park. Expensive, but great event at Liberty State Park. We also celebrated the 251st Birthday of the United States Army.
