OPERATION LIGHTHOUSE VALIDATION EXERCISE

On Sunday August 18, at a wooded site near Fort Dix, nine members and friends of Chapter 19 had the privilege of serving as role-players in a set of related scenarios designed to test and evaluate the skills and knowledge of a three-person U.S. Army Civil Affairs Team (CAT). In this case, the scenarios were based around a fictitious refugee camp in a country from the ODIN area study.
The CAT members worked hard to prepare for the scenarios, and it showed. We role-players worked hard too, studying our roles, and filling in the scenario descriptions with more detail. Our roles included camp nurse, MSF rep, camp director, CAMFED rep, Human Rights Council rep, UNHCR rep, and Border Control soldiers. This was about our 9throle play with CAs since the beginning of 2020. The CATs are sharp and diligent. They make us proud.
